I am a petite 5'3 gal and would also suggest the Suzuki Savage. I have a 1987 and have no problem touching the ground and handling the bike. I am a motorcycle safety instructor and would suggest you consider taking a rider course. This will give you more confidence in a controlled environment. Good luck to ya!
